Your data

Delete your account

PickleBoard, a trading name of iCTO U.K. LtdApplies to the website, the iPhone and Android apps

In short

  • You can delete your PickleBoard account yourself, at any time, from the app or the website.
  • Deleting removes your login and personal details straight away.
  • Your past match results stay in the competition record, but they're no longer linked to you.
  • Can't sign in? Email privacy@pickleboard.app and we'll do it for you.

1Delete from the app

  1. Open PickleBoard on your iPhone or Android phone and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen.
  3. Choose Security & privacy, then Delete account.
  4. Confirm with Delete my account. You're signed out on every device.

2Delete on the website

  1. Sign in at pickleboard.app/account. This opens My Profile.
  2. Scroll to Delete account and choose Delete my account….
  3. Type the confirmation and press delete.

3Ask us to delete it

If you can't sign in, or you'd rather we did it, email privacy@pickleboard.app from the address you signed up with. Tell us your name and, if you have one, your DUPR ID. We'll check the request is yours and confirm when it's done, within one month.

4What we delete

When you delete your account we remove, straight away:

  • your login: email address, password, passkeys and any API key;
  • your name, DUPR ID, profile photo, biography, location and playing preferences;
  • the link between your account and your player record, so your results no longer point to you;
  • any roles you hold in clubs and organisations;
  • your devices' notification registrations, so they stop receiving PickleBoard alerts.

Health data from a watch workout is never sent to PickleBoard. It stays in Apple Health or Health Connect on your phone, where you can delete it yourself.

5What we keep, and why

  • Match results. Scores and results are part of the competition record other players rely on. They stay under the name recorded at the time, but aren't linked to an account.
  • Payment records. If you paid club dues or session fees, the club and Stripe keep the transaction records for accounting and tax, normally for six years.
  • Security logs. Our activity log keeps a record of actions taken on the service for up to 6 months, to resolve disputes and keep the service secure.
  • Club and tournament records. Clubs keep their own membership and attendance records under the name you joined with. Ask the club to remove you, or ask us and we'll pass the request on.
  • Community. Your PickleBoard Community posts, comments and messages aren't removed automatically when you delete your account. Delete them in Community first, or email us after your account is deleted and we'll remove your Community posts, comments and club or event hub posts in one go. Messages you sent stay in the other person's conversation, shown as from a deleted member. So that we can find that content, Community keeps a link between your deleted account and its anonymised Community account (an ID only, no personal details) for 6 months.

6If you run an organisation

If you're the only owner of a club or organisation with an active PickleBoard plan or members paying dues, you'll need to make someone else an owner (or move to the free plan and stop member dues) before you can delete your account. This stops members being charged with nobody in charge.
